Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, Thursday Showdown 10/27/23: DraftKings PGA Analysis

DraftKings PGA DFS Analysis and Cheat Sheet Overview for the 2023 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Featuring top plays, high ceiling candidates, contrarian, and value picks to target for today’s DraftKings Showdown Slate.

Jordan Smith $10,600

Smith is the highest priced player on this slate and got off to a great start in the first round. Currently he is -3 under par and has yet to finish his round with nine holes to go. If he could get hot, that could give himself some momentum into his second round. He has shot under 70 in six out of his last seven events. With him being the highest priced player on the slate, he could potentially be at low ownership.

Thirston Lawrence $8,100

Lawrence was able to get through his first round before the delay of play yesterday. His tee time will be late in the day and might not even finish, but he had a great first round with a -5 under, 72. Lawrence ranks seventh in this field in round two scoring average on DraftKings, with a 69.9 rating. His last three second round scores have been 69, 67, and 67. He is a nice mid-tier option today but also is a player that does not have to play more than eighteen holes today.

Alejandro Del Rey $7,300

Del Rey has been a great young player that has developed on the DP World Tour and could be a name we hear more of in the coming years. He can hit it for and is a great putter, he just needs to improve his irons and around the green. He has made 18/24 cuts this season and currently sits T-14 at -4 under par. He also finished his round and is will be fully rested to play his second round as there was a major delay yesterday. In his last eight rounds, he has six rounds in the sixties with all of them being 67 over lower except one.
