DraftKings CS2 Esports DFS Rundown (PGL Major Copenhagen) – 3/30/24

CPTN:

flameZ (VIT)

With the sniper battle between these two teams already expected to have significant impact on this matchup the riflemen that complement them in lineups may get overlooked and one worth building around is flameZ. Throughout this Major so far flameZ has been one of the most consistent slayers and only have one negative kill-death differential series making him viable for both cash and tournaments. Also, between both these team’s most efficient riflemen so far (frozen being the other) flameZ has less in-game deaths per round (65% versus 67%) which should give him more opportunities to contribute in contests. Also, to flameZ’ benefit and those that select them he happened to be one of the top two slayers against FAZE previously at the end of last year and is on good pace to perform just as well if not better this time with the highest damage on average for his team.

w0nderful (NATUS)

Likely to be the lesser owned of the biggest sniper matchup on the slate but should have more momentum in this matchup and worth paying up for is w0nderful. The last faceoff NATUS and G2 had went the distance with NATUS prevailing and that is likely to occur again here with the sniper mains contributing heavily for their teams. Despite w0nderful being less efficient than m0NESY at the moment (1.24 versus 1.55 K/D) now may be the time to hedge with w0nderful shares with m0NESY slightly regressing in his last matchup. Also, with NATUS having less efficient riflemen outside of w0nderful there should be no surprise if he provides strong value to help keep his team in the game. In other words, for those looking to consider a one-off from this matchup w0nderful would be most optimal to select, especially with some riflemen from G2 gradually improving to make matters more difficult for NATUS overall.

FLEX:

huNter- (G2)

After coming off a double-digit positive kill-death differential game and at a close to minimum price tag huNter- could be a strong complement to other higher priced options in contests. Also, the mid-ranged price tag is tough to not consider here when huNter- was one of the only two players with positive kill-death outcomes (along with m0NESY) in their last matchup with NATUS. Since NiKo seems to be finding his comfort in his game this may result in an easier path to exceeding his value for huNter- as well. Luckily, he leads the team in assist rate (22% per round) and could potentially perform well in lineups without heavily slaying.

ZywOo (VIT)

More so a cash option and worth targeting even with the highest price tag on the slate is ZywOo. ZywOo hasn’t been drastically exceeding his value lately, but he still is one of the safer options and should receive many opportunities to provide strong value in lineups due to slowing down FAZE’s most efficient player at the moment who is an opposing sniper. Fortuantely, ZywOo had a 20+ kill-death differential against FAZE in general in their last meeting which would be difficult to repeat but not out of the question. That being said pairing ZywOo with a rifleman from VIT would be most optimal in lineups here if he’s unable to perform strongly and since his teammates have been stepping up lately at cheaper price tags in contests.
