After looking over the Cheat Sheet from DraftKings, we are going to identify/highlight a couple players as some core plays. These core plays will be determined because of matchup, price, or how hot/cold they are. Without further adieu, let’s get into it!

Core Plays

Roman Safiullin $9,800

Safiullin opens up his Paris Masters tournament with a match against local frenchman, Alexander Muller. Muller is an up and coming player on tour but has had some struggles recently. Since the beginning of May, he is 3-11 in ATP Tour level matches. For Safiullin, he is playing his best tennis at the moment, as he made his first final a month ago at the event in Chengdu, China. He is player that has burst onto the scene this season and has a great opening round matchup. He is the third highest favorite today on the slate at -400 to win and is one of my favorite plays on the slate.

Yoshihito Nishioka $6,800

Nishioka starts his Paris Masters run with a match against Australian, Jordan Thompson. These two have met three times in the past, with Nishioka winning all three matches. In addition, all those matches were played on hard courts and it is interesting that Nishioka is the underdog here. Since the U.S. Open, he is 6-4 while making the final in Zhuhai, China while Thompson is only 3-3. If we take a look at their ELO ratings on hard courts, Nishioka has a rating of 52 while Thompson has a rating of 63. He is a +135 to win today and is a great candidate for an upset.
