DraftKings CS2 Esports DFS Rundown (IEM Chendu) – 4/8/24

FaZe Clan (FAZE) vs. Astralis (ASTRA) (3:00 AM EST (-210 FAZE)

The new look ASTRA have started off strong in their latest victory but with blameF now being on the bench the majority of the scoring is likely to come from device even more, especially after coming off a +20 kill-death differential performance making him the most viable one-off option from this matchup. However, the opposing sniper on the other end in broky is coming off a series leading his FAZE team in kill-assist rate and will be expected to counter device in the majority of their duels. Also, broky has been the more efficient sniper main of the two (1.24 K/D) versus 1.13 K/D so considering him more so as a cash option would be viable here due to the higher price tag. As for the most optimal option for FAZE to stack around frozen has been one of the most consistent riflemen and may perform strongly here due to maintaining the highest damage on average for FAZE (84.1) and having both a positive and neutral kill-death differential in the recent Major loss for FAZE and their recent victory to begin this IEM run.

FURIA Esports (FURIA) vs. Heroic (HERO) (4:30 AM EST) (-133 HERO)

Both teams in this matchup managed to go 2-1 in their IEM debuts and more than likely will go the distance in this faceoff making this the most ideal matchup to select options from both sides. Also, FURIA may have one of the strongest value options on the slate in arT who has a bare minimum price tag for FURIA and had top three positive kill-death differential in both FURIA’s recent win and loss. However, TeSeS would be the most optimal player to stack around from this matchup who is tied for the 2nd highest assist rate among both teams (0.18 per round) while being the top slayer for HERO in both their matches and likely to have the most opportunities to contribute value in multiple ways in lineups. Therefore, there should be no surprise if FalleN provides good value from sniping for FURIA with some of his riflemen regressing slightly and due to being slightly more consistent than his opposing sniper main (1.16 K/D to 1.08 K/D).

Lynn Vision (LYNN) vs. G2 Esports (G2) (4:30 AM EST) (-1050 G2)

One of the most likely one-sided matchups will go underway here to conclude the slate with the battle of the sniper mains likely to have the largest impact on the match with both coming off positive double-digit kill-death differential series. Between m0NESY and Jee, m0NESY would be the safer option to consider in lineups due to having a drastic damage advantage (85.2 per round versus 67.5 on average) but also likely to have ownership on the higher end in contests making him most viable for cash contests. However, there is a pivot worth considering from G2 in NiKo who has been gradually coming back to form and has had a top two kill-assist rate in both G2’s recent matches and one of the only two riflemen from both teams (Starry being the other) with damage north of 80+ per round on average. That being said for those that can’t afford both m0NESY/NiKo in lineups targeting NiKo as a pivot at a cheaper price tag with potential to improve his value here may be worth taking the chance on in contests.
