DraftKings Tennis DFS Core Plays and Cheat Sheet – 10/27/23

Our cheat sheets will take you through some of our top plays at each position across DraftKings.

Core Plays

Holger Rune $8,600

Rune has found some form here in Basel, Switzerland and now faces Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry. Rune should have the fresher legs of the two as both of Etcheverry’s matches have been three sets and were tight matches against Andy Murray and Sebastian Korda. If we take a look at their ELO ratings for hard courts, Rune has a rating of 21 while Etcheverry has a rating of 143. Rune has a massive advantage and at his price, seems like a steal today, especially a guy of his talents. He is a -240 favorite to win today and is a great mid-range value that could produce some dividends at this price.

Ugo Humbert $8,200

Humbert has been on fire and yesterday defeated the number seven seed, Chilean, Nicolas Jarry. Today, he faces Switzerland’s own, Dominic Stricker. Stricker defeated Casper Ruud in a tough three set match and finds himself in the quarterfinals of his home tournament. However, Humbert has been lights out lately. If we take a look at their ELO ratings, Humbert has a hard court rating of 43 while Stricker has a hard court rating of 31. They are both up and coming players but Humbert has the been on the tour a bit longer. Currently the line is even and at this point, Humbert is a tournament play, but one of my favorites on the board. People might take the savings with him considering the odds for this match.

Borna Gojo $5,600

Gojo has cruised through the first two rounds and now faces the number four seed in Stefano’s Tsitsipas. Gojo’s ground strokes are amplified with the matches being indoors, which favors his hitting style. For Tsitsipas, he could struggle and with the heavy ball of Gojo considereing he typically plays with a bit more spin. With that being said, there aren’t many options to take shots on since this is only an eight game slate. He has been playing well and had a run at the U.S. Open and so he knows how to play on hard courts a bit. If we take a look at their ELO ratings, Gojo has a hard court rating of 48 while Tsitsipas has a rating of 8. Gojo is a +240 underdog to win today.
