Favorite to Target

Valter Walker DraftKings $9,400 | FanDuel $19

I love Walker here in this spot when taking into account his ownership vs. the likes of Campbell, Allen, and Bahamondes at the top of the salary range.  Walker These are just two guys who are heading in opposite directions in terms of the career arc with Walker being 11-0 and coming off of four straight knockout victories while Brzeski has lost three straight and failed to really impress in any form or fashion in his losses.

It’s heavyweight so everyone is massive relatively speaking but Walker is on the tail end of it where he comes in listed at 6’6 and 264 pounds.  I’m not sure what his cardio looks like which that is the only real concern but if we’re loading up on him it’s in the hopes that he gets a quick finish over Brzeski here anyways as if this fights makes it into the later rounds it will be tougher for him to be optimal and pay off his $9.4K salary.  Walker brings that dagestan style wrestling to the heavyweight division and I believe he’s going to take Brzeski into the deep waters early and often Saturday night posting one of the top scores on the slate.

Underdog to Target

Daniel Argueta DraftKings $7,400 | FanDuel $12

Argueta draws the undefeated Jean Matsumoto who is an undefeated prospect making his debut.  The thought here is that despite Matsumoto having superior striking Argueta should have the edge in the wrestling department and have a shot to end the fight if he can get Matsumoto to the mat which I think he can.  I think this fight in general is going under-owned based off of ownership projections with both fighters hovering around 20% and I think getting overweight to either fighter is a great strategy as Matsumoto offers a spend up to be contrarian pivot.

Argueta has had a weird run of form after a nice 100 point DraftKings points performance to start 2023 he’s now recorded back to back no contests.  For me I’m always looking of underdogs who have grappling upside and the advantage in the wrestling department and Argueta fits the bill perfectly here as like I stated above believe there’s a clear path to victory and a high score here for Argueta getting Matsumoto to the ground.
