Quick Pivots

The Playoffs are here!  After taking a break for the initial games over the weekend I’ll be bringing the “NHL CHEAT SHEET” for the remainder of the post season.  Similarly to the regular season the cheat sheet will highlight the higher projected/owned plays on the slate and is a good template for building cash game lines.  Below we will take a brief look at the slate from a high level and attempt to identify some viable lower owned stacks for tournaments.

We’ve got a $30K Kick Save on tap for Saturday night NHL DFS action with $10K up top so lets get right into things.  Apologies in advance for the non committal tone of this article but it’s just truly a quintessential “play whoever you want” slate.  We have three games that are all virtually pick ems.  All six offenses are in play and multiple lines and goaltenders.

With that in mind I would find out what the chalk is and make sure I’m under the field on them.  That looks to be Toronto and their first line.  Nothing against them, there’s definitely a chance that they go out and score the most goals on the slate but multiple guys off their first line projecting for ownership north of 20% I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze there although it’s not a TON of ownership and they’re definitely still viable.  Honestly for the most part everything is evenly distributed with maybe Vegas looking like the best stack for tournaments based off of their ownership.

Similar story at goaltender here where less than three points of median projection separates the top options.  We have the top three as Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida), Jeremy Swayman (Boston), and Logan Thompson (Vegas).

That will do it for our quick look at the Saturday night three game slate!  Make sure you’re geared up for the busiest season of the sports calendar and the rest of the NHL season with our NHL FC Pro subscription options below!
