Top Overall Play- Main Slate

Bryce Miller (DK- $8,900, FD- $10,200)- Although targeting against ATL in lineups could be quite risky now may be the time to take advantage of their hitting regressing lately. ATL have been struck out the 12th most in the league as of late which is quite uncommon based on how their team usually performs. Therefore, Bryce Miller could end up sneakily performing well and would be most optimal for tournaments. Fortunately, the expected ownership for Miller in lineups is in the lower range as well with potential to provide a strong edge versus the field. Bryce is also coming off a rough performance as well so there should be no surprised if he gets overlooked even further.

Value Play(s) – Main Slate

Jameson Taillon (DK- $7,500, FD- $9,300) – An extremely risky option that may end up providing strong value at a mid-range price tag is Jameson Taillon. Taillon surrendered nearly double-digit hits (7) in his last start but still almost reached his value and has a slightly easier opponent in NYM today. Fortunately, Taillon fell three short of double-digit strikeouts against NYM in his last meeting at Citi Field which would be tougher to replicate now, but the offense having the 13th least on base percentage (29.9%) should definitely help Taillon produce more in lineups. That being said with the value being slim at pitcher Jameson should be one of the most considered but strictly for tournaments.

Other Pitcher(s) to Consider – Main Slate

Matt Waldron (DK- $6,800, FD- $8,100) – Another viable value option at pitcher who has had shaky starts but coming off his best performance of the season thus far and worth targeting in lineups is Matt Waldron. This matchup is one of the few with a low implied total which could bode well for both pitchers, but Waldron should have one of the strongest positional edges on the slate. CIN have struck out the 2nd most in the league so far which bodes well for Waldron to perform just as well if not better after accomplishing nearly double-digit strikeouts against a team who has struck out on the higher end as well lately, but less than CIN (1st versus 12th most). Moreover, Waldron has potential to be one of the best secondary pitching options and could help pay up for pitchers on the top end which would be more optimal to target today in contests.
