Quick Pivots

The Playoffs are here!  After taking a break for the initial games over the weekend I’ll be bringing the “NHL CHEAT SHEET” for the remainder of the post season.  Similarly to the regular season the cheat sheet will highlight the higher projected/owned plays on the slate and is a good template for building cash game lines.  Below we will take a brief look at the slate from a high level and attempt to identify some viable lower owned stacks for tournaments.

We’re back for Friday night NHL DFS with a four game slate.  DraftKings is offering up a $40K Kick Save to for it’s flagship tournament with $10K going to first place.  Jumping right in we have four closely lined games with the biggest favorites being the Avalanche listed at -166 currently over Edmonton with an implied team goal total of 3.7.  This is exactly where the field is first looking with their lineups as four of the top five projected owned players being off of Colorado’s first line.

If you’re looking to get different in tournaments Vancouver, Los Angeles, and the Rangers are all viable tournament stacks.  On a four game slate with the games being so closely lined every offense is virtually in play and getting to these lower owned teams in near coin flip games should give you ample leverage.  You’re not giving up a ton of implied team goal total or individual projection but you are pulling the proverbial leverage lever by doing so which gives your lineups a boost.

At goaltender we have the top three median projected options as Igor Shesterkin (Rangers), Connor Hellebuyck (Edmonton), and Juuse Saros (Nashville). None of the eight goaltenders are really standing out as a clear top projected top option in terms of ownership and with the games being so closely lined as we eluded to all eight goaltenders are in play.

That will do it for our quick look at the Friday night four game slate!  Make sure you’re geared up for the busiest season of the sports calendar and the rest of the NHL season with our NHL FC Pro subscription options below!
