Quick Pivots

The Playoffs are here!  After taking a break for the initial games over the weekend I’ll be bringing the “NHL CHEAT SHEET” for the remainder of the post season.  Similarly to the regular season the cheat sheet will highlight the higher projected/owned plays on the slate and is a good template for building cash game lines.  Below we will take a brief look at the slate from a high level and attempt to identify some viable lower owned stacks for tournaments.

Monday night brings us another rendition of the Kick Save on DraftKings with a $30K total prize pool and $10K going to first place.  With just two games to choose from I’ll be quick here.  The Panthers are the clear chalk play listed at -184 favorites over the Lightning with the Stars and Vegas being the other game which is virtually lined at a pick em.

For tournaments I like getting to the Florida second line, and the Vegas first line as my top stacks.  You’re gonna have to get a little bit off the board likely to win a tournament instead of just jamming in the Florida first and filling in with the Stars which would be the chalky move.  Optimizers are going to feed you Panthers players in your lineups so if you have the stomach to go to the other three offense it could give you a leg up in a sport where we see wicked variance time and time again.

The ownership at goaltender is Oettinger and Thompson of Dallas followed by Bobrovsky with Vasilevskiy of Tampa hovering around 10%.  For GPPs filling your lineup out with Vasilevskiy and targeting the Vegas/Stars game is a quick way to get a leg up on the field in terms of leverage.

That will do it for our quick look at the Monday night two game slate!  Make sure you’re geared up for the busiest season of the sports calendar and the rest of the NHL season with our NHL FC Pro subscription options below!
